The first-ever production from my official production company has been completed! Scalpel is "in the bag" and I gotta tell ya, it looks AWESOME! I send extreme and copious kudos to my cast and crew, especially Trevor for jumping in without being asked when the original D.P. was not available. Many more updates will be coming but meanwhile, I have another huge project I am preparing for. As always, keep your eyes peeled!

3/4/08

Yesterday I celebrated my first festival release in a lead role in the film The Sound of Victory and I have another lead in a film called Hermetica that will be premiering in the July portion of the same festival. After an extremely long delay, I am finally getting ready to begin work on Fallen Skyes with Dream Chaser Productions. I am also about to begin production on a short called House Rules with All Night Production Studios (producers of the film Jealousy) that is currently listed in the production charts of the Hollywood Reporter and am currently promoting the recent DVD release of the super-cheesy, no-budget, horror comedy awesomeness that is Colonel Kill Motherfuckers in which I also have a lead role.

On the other side of things, right now I'm back in Centralia sans a 9-5 job but I am looking everyday. I have also been auditioning for a variety of projects and will hopefully be starting to pick up more work very soon.

2/3/08

Quite a few things have been happening lately. I just learned "The Sound of Victory" will be world premiering in the New York International Film and Video Festival. This is very exciting for me as it will be my very first festival premiere. Also, the commercial I did for Metro Imaging is currently playing on the St. Louis local channels. I didn't land the role in Gentleman Broncos as I had hoped but the guy who will be playing the lead is very talented and I'm sure he'll do a great job.

More to come...

The Dark Knight trailer

12/18/07

I've been waiting and waiting and waiting some more for the official release of the trailer for The Dark Knight (sequel to Batman Begins) and finally it has arrived! It premiered with I Am Legend in theaters over the weekend and online yesterday. Well, I downloaded it just so I could slow it a bit and see if I showed up...I do!! That's right! I AM IN THE DARK KNIGHT TRAILER!!!!! Check out the screen capture below and look just behind the woman in white.

And if you haven't seen it already, here's the official trailer. (pause it at 1min, 24 sec to see me!)

Secret Project Revealed

9/29/07

I've been talking about a secret project I'm working on for a while now and as of a 12:30pm cst today, I can reveal what it is and how I'm involved. The film is called "I-59 South" and is being produced by Benjamin S. Johnson who also wrote the novel of the same name. I found out about the project on the drewbarrymore.net forums where there was a story that Drew may be involved in an indie film project. Well, before you start jumping up and down, she is not yet involved. In fact, as of this blog, she has not been officially contacted by Benjamin or any of the production crew. However, she is very much in mind for the female lead of the film as is Claire Danes. So far, two celebrities are already involved: Olivia de Havilland and Luke Flynn. As you will see if you go to their IMDB pages, Luke is the grandson of the swashbuckling Errol Flynn and Olivia was many films with Errol as well as playing Melanie Hamilton in Gone with the Wind. So, as you can imagine, I am extremely excited to be a part of this project and I'm keeping my fingers crossed one or both of said ladies come aboard. As always, I will keep you posted!

It seems I was never meant to be a part of Crazy Rides a Saw Horse. The first time I inquired about being an extra, my email was never returned. After that I wasn't even sure if the film was going ahead with production until I saw a myspace post from my actor friend Aaron Levinson about the trailer. The next moment a myspace bulletin was post that the film once again needed extras so once I again I replied. This time, hallelujah, I received a reply saying the director would give me a call after he got off work. Well, surprise, surprise, I got no such thing. I'm sorry if I seem a bit upset but I am. Although it may be a low budget, no-one's-ever-heard-of-them production company, I was totally psyched to be a part of it simply because it's a film going on in the area and one that I was not only already familiar with but one that another actor friend of mine is a part of. Anyway, it really blows and I it looks like I won't be attempting to be a part of that company's productions anymore.

It's been almost a month since I started my awesome job at the St. Louis Science Center. It's really been one of the best jobs I've ever had. I'm still doing "The Evil Count Steals Science Show" in the Marvel Superheroes exhibit and I've also taken over the "Peeps" show on the main stage. The evil count show has me demonstrating some cool inventions like the Van de Graaff generator and the Tesla coil while the Peeps show involves me doing some unkind things to candy Peeps (such as subjecting one to Liquid Nitrogen). I'm having a great time and if you would like to come see a show, please email me and I'll let you know the times for that day. Usually I do the Peeps show at 10am and 3pm and "The Evil Count Steals Science" show at 11:45am and 1:15pm.

Film you say? Well...my schedule lately has been bounced around more than a joey in its mama's pouch but currently I am working on Col. Kill, getting ready to do some re-shoots for Jealousy, possibly being an extra for "Crazy Rides a Saw Horse," and maybe being a part of "Saving Grace B. Jones." "Crazy Rides a Saw Horse is a horror comedy being filmed in St. Louis and I'm not really sure what "Saving Grace B. Jones" is about but it's also filming somewhere in STL so I'll let you know. There's also a new trailer for "Jealousy." Check it out in my reel.
